Having already launched the expensive Galaxy S in India, Samsung is now bringing more affordable Android solutions to the country by introducing the Samsung Galaxy 5 (i5503) and Samsung Galaxy 3 (i5801).
Launched as Corby Smartphone in Italy, the Galaxy 5 comes with a 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen display, Touch Wiz UI 3.0, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, 2MP camera, a 600MHz processor, and MicroSD card support.
Available in the UK as Samsung Apollo, the Galaxy 3 features a 3.2 inch WQVGA multi-touch display, TouchWiz 3.0, accelerometer, proximity sensor, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G, 3.5mm headset jack, DNSe, 3.2MP autofocus camera with video recording, MicroSD card support, and a 667MHz processor.
Samsung Galaxy 3 costs 12,300 INR ($265), while the Galaxy 5 is priced at only 10,200 INR ($220). Both smartphones run Android 2.1 and they should be available in India starting now.
